Oxygen vacancy induced MnO<sub>2</sub> catalysts for efficient toluene catalytic oxidation

Abstract
The α-MnO 2 , with abundant oxygen vacancies, facilitates the adsorption and activation of O 2 to produce active adsorbed oxygen species and weakens lattice oxygens species. These oxygen species can significantly improve toluene catalytic oxidation.
