Lanthanum nanocluster/ZIF-8 for boosting catalytic CO<sub>2</sub>/glycerol conversion using MgCO<sub>3</sub> as a dehydrating agent

Abstract
La/ZIF-8 was effective in converting CO<sub>2</sub>/glycerol to glycerol carbonate. La<sup>3+</sup>–O<sup>2−</sup> pairs of La<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> on ZIF-8 could strengthen the Lewis basicity and acidity. MgCO<sub>3</sub> could physically adsorb water molecules as a dehydrating agent.
