Abstract

Direct radical-mediated reductive coupling of nitroarenes with 4-alkyl-1,4-dihydropyridines to build the C(sp 3 )–N bond using 4-alkyl-1,4-dihydropyridines as internal reducing agents and alkyl sources is presented.
