Abstract

Wireless power transfer is an emerging technology with some promising properties. Inductive coupling, magnetic resonant coupling, and electromagnetic radiation are the three primary categories of WPT technology. There are three WPT technologies: the first deals with near-field transmission methods, and the third deals with far-field transmission methods. They each have their own quirks and may be implemented in different configurations. In this piece, we want to provide examples of how this technology is already impacting our lives on a global, social, and economic scale. However, we have pinpointed a few potential challenges slowing down the advancement of wireless charging technology. Several obstacles must be overcome before this technology can be widely used, such as inefficiency, distance, misalignment, and charging several devices simultaneously.
