Abstract
The article discusses the issues of choosing optimal forecast models for transport planning and management. The choice of optimal forecast models for the studied periods of time for road transport is carried out in two variants: in the first variant, forecast models are built according to a number of dynamics, in the second, multifactorial forecast models. Comparing the results of these options for choosing the optimal model allowed us to establish that forecasting using a multifactor model gives results closer to real ones.
