Abstract

The digital divide in education is a structural problem that limits equitable access to information and learning, mainly affecting vulnerable sectors. This study aims to analyze the influence of the digital divide in education and explore strategies to reduce its effects. A literature review methodology was used, selecting relevant studies on technological inequalities, connectivity and digital training. The results indicate that the lack of access to technological devices and poor connectivity affect educational continuity, while the lack of digital skills in teachers and students aggravates exclusion in digital environments. In addition, educational quality is compromised by the disparity in the availability of technological resources, which perpetuates inequality in learning. The discussion highlighted the need to implement public policies that strengthen technological infrastructure and promote digital literacy. The importance of collaboration between governments, companies and communities to ensure equitable access to technology is also emphasized. It is concluded that bridging the digital divide is essential for educational equity, requiring comprehensive strategies to ensure access to digital resources and training in technological skills.
