Abstract
This chapter proposal aims to explore the transformative potential of data mining and knowledge discovery in healthcare, focusing on optimizing healthcare computing systems, integrating technologies like AI and IoT, and emphasizing patient-centric care. It delves into precision medicine, disease pathways, and current trends in health and disease, while addressing concerns around privacy, biases, and responsible data use. The methodology includes a systematic review of healthcare computing systems and real-world case studies.
