Abstract
The authors investigate Bloch oscillations of ultracold atoms in two superposed optical lattices that are accelerated away from one another in a joint theoretical and experimental study. The authors also demonstrate that this setup can be used for coherently controlling superpositions of momentum states in atom interferometry.
