Abstract
When we wander on the seaside of the Sandu Bay, look at the blue ocean and the green mountains, there is always a question coming to our mind, how to achieve the energy demand of mankind with minimizing the effect on the environment, or in another word, to ensure the carbon neutralized world in the near future, what shall we do? Many efforts from different dimensions are required to clarify the answer, but one thing is clear, whereas a sustainable and efficient energy storage system is necessary. Sodium-ion battery, as a complementary technology to lithium-ion battery, is catching much attention due to its unique properties such as low-cost and green philosophy, and also exactly these properties make sodium-ion technology high potential to knock the door of the carbon neutrality.
