Abstract

Abstract Energy electrocatalytic reactions such as hydrogen evolution reaction, oxygen evolution reaction, oxygen reduction reaction, nitrogen reduction reaction, carbon reduction reaction, etc., are important reactions to solve the current energy shortage and the increasing environmental problems. Developing novel and efficient catalyts for these reactions has become an essential and urgent issue. Catalysts incorporating bridge‐oxygen bond have received increasing attention due to their superior conductivity and stability, which are favorable for optimizing the reaction mechanism and improving the reaction kinetics. This paper provides a comprehensive review encompassing the concept of bridge‐oxygen bond, the means of characterization, the activity in energy electrocatalysis and the effect on the catalytic performance. Through this review, it is expected to furnish a valuable reference for the rational design of catalysts featuring a bridge‐oxygen structure across diverse energy electrocatalytic reactions.
