Abstract

Thiols adsorb and coordinate with the O atom in a –Ti–O–Ti– unit and an electron is transferred from the O to the S atom, leading to the generation of sulfur and hydrogen radicals via S–H bond homolysis followed by dimerization to disulfides and H 2 .
