Abstract
assay conducted to monitor bacterial surface detachment during multiple cycles of rewetting that correlate with the results of nebulizer/bacterial surface interactions. These studies demonstrate for the first time that pathogenic bacteria on the nebulizer surface pose a risk of bacterial inhalation to patients who use contaminated nebulizers.
