Abstract: Clitoria ternatea (Family: Fabaceae) is an important medicinal plant in traditional folk medicine. This plant was found to contain various types of metabolites. Many different pharmacological effects, including antioxidant protection from illness, have been attributed to the plant's wide range of phytochemical constituents. This article provides an overview of the current phytochemical and pharmacological research as well as the traditional and medical applications of this plant. The significant and varied experimental findings have been addressed. Since C. ternatea has several conventional and pharmacological benefits in treating many illnesses.
