Abstract

Dear Editor, We read with great interest the review entitled, “Clinician responses to legal requests for hastened death: a systematic review and meta-synthesis of qualitative research,1 published in the BMJ Supportive & Palliative Care . Although the results of the study were significantly valuable, a methodological issue about the search strategy and eligibility criteria. In order to identify all eligible studies, each aspect of the research question must be clearly defined in the eligibility criteria. However, inclusion and exclusion criteria have not been fully defined in detail.
