Abstract
1-Hexanoic acid stabilised copper nanoparticles were obtained. Cu 64 O phase could be found on the particle surface. During sintering, the stabilising molecule, 1-hexanoic acid, reduced Cu 64 O to Cu and it introduced neckings between the particles.
