Abstract

In a wide-output voltage range application, the resonant converter is required to achieve high efficiency and narrow switching frequency over a wide output voltage range. Several resonant topologies have been proposed to fulfill these requirements. These topologies have been stated in this paper. A review and comparison of DC-DC resonant converters for wide-output voltage range application are presented in this paper. Different methods are used in the reported topologies, such as multi-phase bridge, dual half-bridge, and multi-secondary windings. To help providing full understanding of advantages and drawbacks of these different topologies, this paper will present a comprehensive review of these topologies and provide detailed performance comparison.
