Abstract

The potential pharmacological activities of CLT in cancer, obesity, and inflammatory, auto-immune, and neurodegenerative diseases have been demonstrated in recent years. However, CLT's clinical application is extremely restricted by its low solubility/permeability, poor bioavailability, and potential off-target toxicity. The advent of nanotechnology provides a solution to improve the oral bioavailability, therapeutic effects or tissue-targeting ability of CLT. This review focuses on the most recent advances, improvements, inventions, and updated literature of various nanocarrier systems for CLT.
