Abstract

Biometrics can be a physical or behavioral type of human characteristic. It is used to identify such people by analyzing their unique features. It can be used digitally to identify a person for security use. Nowadays. There are quite many types of biometrics that are available and commonly used. It can be through facial recognition, fingerprints, voice, etc. This study aims to have an alternative for a biometric system: ear biometrics. Ear images were used to train and test in a system that runs through raspberry pi. The raspberry pi was used to help the researchers to achieve the aim of having a portable ear biometric system. The system garnered a 98.04% accuracy and a 2% error for all of the 40 subjects that it has tested.
