Abstract

The thermal attribute of an inclined porous fin of a longitudinal profile has been determined in the presence of convection and radiation effect. The Darcy’s model is utilised here. The governing equation, nonlinear second-order ordinary differential equation, has been derived. An effective analytical method, Differential Transform Method, has been implemented to find the solution of the dimensionless problem. The obtained outcome has been compared with that of the Adomian Decomposition Method as well as Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg method. The efficiency of the fin for different values of dimensionless parameters has been investigated. The influence of significant parameters has been illustrated with graphical interpretation. The thermo-geometric parameter and radiative parameter support in heat transfer rate from fin surface.
