Abstract
Alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS) is a rare soft tissue sarcoma (STS) mainly affecting adolescents and young adults. Its occurrence rate is approximately 0.5% to 0.9% of all STS cases.1,2 In children, the tumor most commonly occurs at the head and neck regions, especially in the orbit and tongue.3 Conversely, the lower extremities are the most common site of origin in adult patients.4 Although ASPS usually increases gradually, early metastasis is one of the tumor characteristics, which leads to decreased survival rate.
