Muhammad Brata, Irma Zakia
Abstract
Wireless propagation channel model is one of important factors for planning and optimization of cellular communication networks. However, the complexity of the corresponding coverage area has always been the main challenge for researchers and engineers to develop the appropriate path loss model. Therefore, this paper provides the brief summary of development of path loss modeling. We have shown that the accuracy of prediction and simplicity of the model are the main concern of the path loss modeling performance and need to be developed further for 5G millimeter wave and beyond.
