Abstract

The long-neglected stereochemically active lone pair groups ClO 3 − and BrO 3 − are demonstrated to be important UV NLO functional motifs based on the fact that AClO 3 and ABrO 3 possess high SHG effects and short λ PM and are promising UV NLO materials.
