Multi-Component Synthesis of Pyrido[2,3- <i>d</i> ]Pyrimidines Catalyzed by Nano Magnetite Schiff Base Complex

Abstract
Nano-[Fe3O4@SiO2/N-propyl-1-(thiophen-2-yl)ethanimine][ZnCl2] as a nano magnetite Schiff base complex and reusable catalyst was successfully applied for the preparation of some pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines by the reaction of aryl aldehyde, malononitrile, and 6-amino-1,3-dimethyluracil with high yields and short reaction times.
