Abstract

Multicolor hydrogels that can sustain a high stress of 1 MPa were obtained by chemically introducing methyl picolinate moieties into dually cross-linked alginate networks with metal (Ca 2+ /Tb 3+ /Eu 3+ ) coordination and hydrogen bonding crosslinks.
