Second-Quantized Fermionic Operators with Polylogarithmic Qubit and Gate Complexity

Abstract
A new qubit encoding method for second-quantized fermion interactions in systems of relevance for quantum chemistry is described, which can achieve an exponential improvement over prior second-quantized strategies in the limit of large basis sets.
