Abstract
The removal of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is crucial in environmental research due to their harmful effects. Among diverse technologies for VOCs’ removal, catalytic oxidation is a continuously advancing and useful technology with high treatment efficiency and low energy consumption. Recently, metal oxide catalytic oxidation is valued for the huge surface area and stable framework of the specific catalysts and its broad applicability. This review systematically summarizes recent application of several commonly used metal oxide catalysts, including their catalytic properties, influencing factors and the mechanisms. It is helpful in the scientific design and preparation of novel metal oxide catalysts for VOCs’ degradation.
