Abstract

The development of renewable energies remains today, a necessity for Algeria due to the growing deficit in the energy balance which was increased 8 times between 2010 and 2018, now representing 35% of energy demand. Renewable energies have long been one of the priorities of public authorities not only to avoid the expenditure of hydrocarbons but also to preserve the environment. This double objective obviously requires a lot of sacrifices and above all awareness raising for the benefit of citizens in order to reap the benefits by using this kind of energy. However, social acceptance is an important issue in raising public awareness of renewable energy infrastructure and must be studied simultaneously with the technical methods. This paper aims to present the study of social acceptance of an innovative energy system based on renewable energies in the Adrar region, that is to say a survey of social acceptance which shows on a large majority accept new energies. Depending on the expectations of the respondents, an action plan is highlighted in order to best adapt renewable energies in an urban environment.
