Abstract
Digital Transformation (TD) in different industry sectors, supported by tools such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Data Analysis applications, enables the development of "smart" applications and solutions to serve the needs of society. The IoT market and cloud platform development have allowed us to provide a novel alternative to improve urban water management. We present a design and implementation of a framework for urban water management consisting of smart meters manufactured by the company TARPUQ and the development of an Advanced Metering Infrastructure System (AMI) for end devices control, registration, and billing of urban water service consumption. The results verified that the SMART-WATER pilot project, from the final devices to the AMI Platform, is a reliable support for the Digital Transformation of urban water measurement.
