Abstract

-quinone methide intermediate followed by an electrocyclic ring closure reaction. The aromatization of the cyclohexane ring is achieved by sequential H shift, hydroxylation, and elimination reaction. DMSO-assisted concomitant cyclization and aromatization reactions are also disclosed for the first time.
