Abstract

This paper shows a study about the changes in the teaching role in the context of the Digital Society.From a questionnaire with closed questions, with a sample of 151 teachers of different educational levels, the main results that point to the self-perceived need for improvement in teacher training are presented, becoming a key element in the teaching and learning process, being necessary to know the competences and capacities that the teachers must get for a correct integration of the digital technologies in the curriculum.In addition, the study investigates the degree of inclusion of technologies in the classroom to know the use that teachers make of them in their teaching practice.The results also show that most teachers believe that the integration of ICTs not agreeing that it will not mean anything new in the quality of teaching.Likewise, concerning their level of digital inclusion, teachers make daily use of digital technologies, being WhatsApp the social network most used by them.
