• PTEN, TLR4, NF-κB and NLRP3 are increased in the hippocampus of PSD mice. • PTEN suppression downregulates TLR4, NF-κB and NLRP3 in PSD mouse hippocampus . • Exercise ameliorates PSD via PTEN/TLR4/NF-κB/NLRP3 signaling.
