Abstract

This report maps the significance of the sudden economic and social crisis caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) for migrants on temporary visas working in hospitality, aged care and agriculture. It focuses on the role of migration status, employment insecurity and lack of social protection in exacerbating the precariousness of migrant workers.
