Abstract
In this paper, we have introduced a new statistical distribution called as transmuted Exponential Power (TEP) distribution using the quadratic rank transmutation map proposed by Shaw and Buckley [25, We have also studied some statistical properties such as descriptive statistics (moments, variance, coe cient of skewness (CS) and kurtosis (CK)), point estimation (maximum likelihood estimation) and real data applications to illustrate usefulness of TEP distribution.
