Abstract
This JAMA Insights Clinical Update reviews the diagnosis and management of distal symmetric neuropathy, including control of risk factors (eg, high glucose in type 1 diabetes, weight loss) and use of nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic therapies (eg, SNRIs, tricyclic antidepressants, gabapentinoids).
