Abstract
Debates about racism and its derivations have gained ground in the most diverse areas of knowledge and in the media in general.Among the types of racism, a little discussed and known is environmental racism.This theme has been the subject of academic research in Brazil for more than 20 years, but it is still conquering spaces.In order to introduce and disseminate the theme that appears in this chapter.Through a theoretical analysis it discusses the concept of environmental racism and its articulation as a State policy, a necropolitics.Environmental racism has been part of our country's daily life for a long time and, mainly, in the formulation of public policies in cities.Environmental racism affects not only blacks, but also native peoples, riverside people and the poorest.Thus, it is essential to discuss the issue of environmental racism, which afflicts Brazilian society at all levels and regions, and must be faced, because #blacklivesmatter.
