Abstract

A new class of hypoelectronic boron clusters [{OsCp*} 2 B n H n ] ( n = 6–10) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. All these clusters possess non-spherical geometries that can be generated from usual borate dianions by DSD rearrangements.
