The Use of Slots as Part of a Compact Directional Coupler

Abstract

Based on the study of miniaturization of the coupler, the advantages of using slots to create conditions for additional miniaturization of the structure are considered. In this paper, we propose the implementation of a coupler which consists of a set of lines having high wave impedance and idle loop sets. Slit lines were added to the gaps between the loops, which made it possible to obtain a decrease in the operating frequency. The use of slots can be used to adjust the fabricated coupler.
