Abstract

Neighborhood selection problem has turned to be one of the important multi criteria problems which is affected by social, environmental, economic, and technical decision factors. Big cities in developing and developed countries have invested a noticeable amount of yearly budgets in educational sector. Development of education sectors have caused an increase in number of foreign student in most the universities. Neighborhood selection for accommodation of such students is very critical and important process. In this study, we proposed an Entropy based EDAS method to evaluate neighborhood alternatives for a new foreign student. To show the feasibility of the proposed methodology, a case study is performed for a new foreign student in Istanbul. A sensitivity analysis is presented to verify the obtained results from EDAS method
