Abstract

In the contemporary security environment, ensuring the physical protection of special-purpose facilities cannot be limited solely to approaches based on normative requirements. The functional purpose, structural complexity, and operational regime of facilities lead to their exposure to threats of varying levels. This article proposes a methodology for the categorization of special-purpose facilities based on multidimensional statistical methods and for the identification of potential adversary models corresponding to the obtained categories. The methodology is based on k-means cluster analysis and discriminant analysis. The research results demonstrate that the proposed approach enables an objective security-oriented classification of facilities and a well-founded selection of adversary models.
