Melt electrowriting: A study of jet diameters and jet speeds along the spinline
Sherry Ashour, Huaizhong Xu
Abstract
Abstract An experimental study on jet dynamics of melt electrowriting is firstly investigated. High‐definition images of jet piling up to 15 layers are recorded. The most notable finding is that despite the variation of jet diameter along the spinline it remained constant at the landing point as the layers elevated. Jet speeds along the spinline can be accurately deduced from the jet diameter, which facilitates the high‐precision printing of melt electrowriting.
