A chiral aldehyde-induced tandem conjugated addition–lactamization reaction for constructing fully substituted pyroglutamic acids

Abstract
A chiral aldehyde-catalyzed tandem nucleophilic addition-lactamization reaction is described. Structurally diverse fully substituted pyroglutamic acids were generated in moderate-to-good yields and stereoselectivities.
