Abstract
In this work, reduction of fourth-order bio-ethanol dehydration system (BEDS) is proposed based on truncation approach (TA) and Routh approximation (RA) for sustainable bio-fuel generation. The fourth-order BEDS is approximated to the first, second, and third order models. The numerators of these models are obtained by truncating the numerator coefficients of fourth-order BEDS using TA. However, RA method is exploited for obtaining the denominators of different models. The effectiveness of thus obtained models is analyzed by presenting the qualitative and quantitative analysis. The qualitative analysis is done by plotting step response, error curves for step response, impulse response, and Bode magnitude and phase curves. While, time-domain-specifications (TDSs) and error indices (EIs) are tabulated for presenting the quantitative analysis.
