Abstract

Encapsulated iron oxide nanoparticles with g-C<sub>3</sub>N<sub>4</sub> shells (Fe<sub>x</sub>-NC) promote the hydrogen evolution reaction. The interactions between Fe<sub>x</sub>-NC nanocomposites were investigated by DFT.
