C<sub>2</sub>H<sub>2</sub>capture and separation in a MOF based on Ni<sub>6</sub>trigonal-prismatic units

Abstract
The assembly of 4,4′-diamino-[1,1′-biphenyl]-3,3′,5,5′-tetracarboxylic acid linkers and Ni 2+ ions afforded a MOF containing rare Ni 6 trigonal-prismatic units, which shows excellent dynamic separation of C 2 H 2 from C 2 H 2 –CO 2 and C 2 H 2 –CH 4 mixtures.
