Abstract
In this work we describe five new species of Hyalella: Hyalella sarukhani sp. nov. from Mexico City, Mexico; H. alvarezi sp. nov., H. garyi sp. nov., H. villalobosi sp. nov., and H. viviannae sp. nov. from Veracruz, Mexico. Since the four species from Veracruz belong to the H. azteca complex due to the form of the telson, here we present a morphological comparison using scanning electron microscopy images to address the variations within the species.http://www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:9DF27EA5-D5DD-4010-9092-CB6BB358E6B7
