Abstract
Smallholder farmers make up 95 percent of the world's farmers and produce 45 percent of the world's food, 70 percent of which comes from sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia Yet these farmers face challenges including low yields, poverty, food insecurity, climate change, and limited access to shared markets.
