Abstract
Abstract This paper reports a visible‐light‐induced difunctionalization of 2,3‐dihydrofuran with quinoxalin‐2(1 H )‐ones and peroxides for the synthesis of 2,3‐disubstituted tetrahydrofurans under mild reaction conditions with good yields in most cases. The multicomponent reaction exhibits excellent site‐selectivity of carbon‐carbon double bond in 2,3‐dihydrofuran (exclusive anti ‐addition), good functional group tolerance, and high diastereoselectivity (d.r. >99 %).
