Abstract
The rapid increase in electromagnetic pollution has received focused concentration from researchers all over the world who countered the problem by producing a variety of microwave absorbing materials. Agricultural residue based eco-friendly and bio-degradable microwave absorber is an appealing and challenging area for modern-day researchers. This review paper aims to present an outline of theoretical concepts of microwave absorption phenomenon and numerous absorber structures implemented. Factors affecting the performance of absorbers are examined. Measurement techniques to measure the dielectric properties of the absorber are also presented. This review also enlightens about potential materials for designing absorber structures.
