Sparse False Injection Attacks Reconstruction via Descriptor Sliding Mode Observers

Abstract
Cyber-physical systems (CPSs), acting as the backbone of Industrial 4.0, may suffer from false injection attacks launched by adversary for degrading system performances. In this article, we concentrate on investigating secure reconstruction of CPSs. First, the combinational attack mode is potentially identified by means of adaptive counteraction searching. Next, the sparse injection attacks are effectively reconstructed while ensuring the correctness of state estimation in the light of full-order and reduced-order switched descriptor sliding mode observers, respectively. Moreover, two numerical examples are given to verify the applicability of our theoretical derivation.
