Abstract

This study presents an efficient IoT-Enhanced Medication Quality Assurance system to significantly improve the quality of medications and the safety of hospitalized patients. It employs IoT technology to monitor the circumstances under which medications are stored continuously. Hospitals can guarantee that the conditions for storing medications are appropriate by installing sensors that detect temperature and humidity in the locations where medications are kept. This helps to maintain the effectiveness of the medications. The information gathered by these sensors is sent to a centralized monitoring system, which then determines whether or not an alarm should be triggered in the event if the circumstances deviate from their ideal state. Not only does this proactive approach protect patients by avoiding the use of pharmaceuticals that have been compromised, but it also helps with compliance with laws and simplifies inventory management. This research tackles an important problem in the healthcare industry by bringing together the latest technical developments, patient-centered treatment, and effective business practices.
